“It’s a New Year — Now is the Time to Make a Change”

There are many steps to becoming enlightened… here are a few more qualities.

See Part #1 for the First 7 Steps

8 - Full of Great and Powerful Love - Love is the cornerstone of all enlightened beings. Love is the greatest force in the Universe and because of that all those who come to teach use love to enact change in every heart. Be it Jesus or Buddha, or Krishna or Paramahansa Yogananda, or Sai Baba they all came to spread love. And to show everyone that love is the only way to change the world.

9 - Amazing Fortitude - To be a great enlightened being is not easy. It takes a great power within to move forward… because there are always ups and downs in life and these can lead to feeling down. Yet those who travel this path have a heart made of light that burns brightly and never ever gives up.

10 - Has Faith in God - Jesus had great faith in God, and so did all the rest of the great enlightened beings. Without that faith, there is an emptiness that cannot be filled with anything else. One can keep looking and searching and many do but that great faith in God is the driving force in the heart of those who are enlightened.

11 - Has Super Self-Confidence - It’s impossible to be enlightened unless one has self-confidence. For there will always be those who are full of anger and will try to create havoc in your life. But despite all those who try to cause problems and challenge and incite the masses against you it is important to have great confidence. And know without a doubt that the path of love does have sharp turns and dead ends but the light of Wisdom, Love, Truth, and God flourish in your heart.

12 - Believes in None Violence - Enlightened beings are never violent and tell others to turn away from violence. Those like Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Jesus, Buddha, and many others did not believe in violence. They know that violence only creates more violence and thus they are full of love even for those who hate them the most. This is one of the hardest of all tests for an enlightened being… violence is part of human nature. But it can be overcome with great faith in God.

13 - Full of Mental Calmness - Even when being taken to be crucified Jesus had great calmness within. And Buddha when those who hated him came to do him harm told his followers to leave them alone they had a right to feel whatever they wanted to feel. Mental calmness is the rock that all great beings hold fast to… together with their great faith. Mental calmness comes from hours of meditation… every single day. And it’s important in order to become a great enlightened being.

14 - Forbearance in All Situations - Beyond mental calmness, there must be great self-control that does not allow outbursts or irrational explosions of emotions that take over. This is one of the hardest of things to do… it is a true test of a truly enlightened being. Forbearance also means being willing to keep doing what you need to do every single day without becoming weary. A true test of those who are full of love to the point of total control of every aspect of their life and being.

Many Blessings to Everyone!
