Here is a wonderful healing stew that’s super tasty, very filling, and will do the body good. Chocked full of powerful anticancer agents that are found in organic turmeric, organic garlic, organic oregano, and organic Brussel sprouts. And this stew takes no time at all to prepare. In fact, I sent some to my sister-in-law and her husband and they raved about it and asked if I could make some more.

All the cruciferous veggies such as cabbage, cauliflower, and broccoli and Brussel sprouts work wonders for preventing cancer and especially colon cancer.

Another Whole-Foods Plant-Based Recipe

Ingredients:

8 - Cups of Organic Brussel Sprouts - Cut in Half

3 - Cups of Organic Potatoes - Cut into Large Cubes

12 - Oz of Organic Black Olives - Cut in Half

1 - Large Yellow Organic Onion - Chopped

3 - Tablespoons of Organic Tomato Paste

2 - Cups of Organic Brown Rice - Not Cooked

2 - Teaspoons of Organic Turmeric Powder

12 - Cloves of Organic Garlic Cloves - Minced

3 - Tablespoons of Organic Fresh Oregano - Finely Chopped - Dried Will Also Work

2 – Tablespoons of Organic Yellow or Stone Ground Mustard

1 – Tablespoon of Organic Italian Seasoning

1 – Tablespoon of Organic Garlic Powder

1/3 – Teaspoon of Organic Black Pepper

1 – Teaspoon of Organic Chili Powder – Mild or Hot – It’s Up to You

1/4 - Teaspoon of Organic Stevia Powder

Enough Filtered Water to Cover Everything and More

Salt and Pepper to Taste

(Optional) - Garnish of Organic Chopped Green Onions and Cherry Tomatoes Cut in Half

(Optional) - Served on a Bed of Organic Greens of Your Choice

In a large frying pan add the onions and the garlic and a little bit of water and cook on high heat until translucent. Then add the Brussel sprouts and potatoes and lots of filtered water and the rice and cook until the veggies are done. Then add the spices and everything else and add a lot more water and cook on simmer until all the water is gone and there is steam rising and the rice starts to dry out. Simmer for just another 5 or 8 minutes on low… being sure not to burn it and then remove from the stove and let sit covered for 20 minutes.

Once cooled this dish can be served on a bed of organic greens and garnished with some organic chopped green onions and organic cherry tomatoes cut in half.

That’s It!

This dish serves 16 people - You can cut this recipe in 1/2 or 1/4 or smaller if you like. We always take some to the neighbors and to family around so we hardly ever have leftovers.
