Do you know, to understand God’s true nature we must understand who we truly are?
Yes, you’ve got it right – this indeed means that we ourselves are God! But hold it, we as in not the body or the name given to this body. That is all temporary. And God is eternal.

So, ‘who is God, where is He and what is God’s nature’ are questions that naturally arise in our mind.
Param Pujya Dadashri explains, “God is in every creature whether visible or invisible. God is in creature, not in creation.”

Rather than simply regarding God as an omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient deity ruling over all of us and governing our everyday lives above us, God is actually within us. That is the correct address of God!

There are infinite invisible creatures which cannot be seen even under a microscope - God resides in all of them! However, there is no God in a sofa, a table, a camera, a tube light, or a record-player, etc. as these are all inanimate man-made creations. God does not reside in these man-made things, He is present in all living creatures i.e. one-sensed living beings, two-sensed living beings, birds, plants, trees, animals, human beings, etc. What we see outside is the body and within there is God!

Akram Vignan suggests that to truly understand who God is, we need to understand our true self, which is the pure Soul that resides inside our body.
This Pure Soul exists alongside our worldly self i.e. our ego. Whilst this worldly self changes from lifetime to lifetime, the pure Soul i.e. the God within us remains unchanged, as it is, throughout millions of cycles of birth and rebirth that takes place.

The nature of God i.e. the pure Soul within all living beings, in contrast to our worldly mortal self i.e. ego, is as follows:
•God is permanent and constant. God does not take birth nor does God die.
•God is immiscible i.e. always remains pure
•God’s inherent nature is infinite vision, infinite knowledge, infinite energy and eternal happiness.
•Unlike our worldly self, God is never afflicted with high or low emotions influenced by anger, pride, deceit or greed.
•Unlike our worldly self, God is not affected by the actions, thoughts or speech of others.
•God has no attachment to any aspect of the world. Unlike our worldly self, God does not feel any positive or negative reaction to any living being.
•God is never driven by a need for material possessions or any other-worldly desires.
•God is not affected by any changes in the external circumstances. Whether things are adverse or favourable, God remains unaffected.
•The ego i.e. our worldly self becomes the doer of any activity and thereby binds good and bad karma. However, the inherent nature of God is only to see and know everything. God does not get involved in anything, but just observes and knows.

All our life, we keep looking for God outside, but actually, God needs to be realized inside. This eternal God, residing inside everyone, can be seen only through divine eyes (divya chakshu), which are procured when one attains Self Realization by the grace of the Living Gnani (the Enlightened One)!!!

And only after Self Realization, are we able to remain in the awareness of the nature of our real Self i.e. God.
